Palo Santo means “holy wood” or “wood of the saints”, and comes from a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America. Palo santo is traditionally used to clear / cleanse negative energy and replace it with positive energy. It is also known to relieve stress, anxiety, and depression.

When using palo santo please be very careful, as you would any item that you light with a flame. Take one stick and light it with a candle or lighter. Allow the Palo Santo stick to burn for 30 seconds to a minute, then carefully blow the flame out. Move around the space in which you wish to clear the energy - be it your bedroom, office, car or your entire home - allowing the smoke to waft around each area. To cleanse yourself with palo santo bring the smoke into your heart, over your head and down the front and back of your body to cleanse yourself.
